Are you cute?

Learnt something new today. It's a word that we frequently used to describe a person. It's the word 'cute'.

Dictionary defined it as
  1. Delightfully pretty or dainty.
  2. Obviously contrived to charm; precious: "[He] mugs so ferociously he kills the humor-it's an insufferably cute performance" (David Ansen).
  3. Shrewd; clever.
It may be due to a person's appearance (i.e. small body size, innocence looking face etc) or the way they act (i.e. playfulness, affectionate behaviour etc), which makes me (or you) say them cute.

Today, as defined by my friend, 'cute' is [ugly but adorable].

It's totally something new to me. The word 'cute' is not always something good though.

So, what's your definition for the word 'cute'?

depending on what is your definition.. For me, I use cute as both a compliment, and at times, sarcasm. And the cute saying ugly, it's claimed by some people saying its from an Oxford Dictionary, which I do not quite believe.. =P
